Chartplotter question

I want to get a chartplotter for my boat. I was thinking about the Lowrance GlobalMap 3500C. Does anyone have any experience or information about this unit? I do need a model with an external antenna. The lowest price I've found is $448 and $63 for the cartography chip.

TIA, Mike

Re: Chartplotter question

I picked up a Garmin. I had a run in Lowrance a couple years ago and they would not stand by their product. So, I scratched them off my list.

Re: Chartplotter question

I agree about Lowrance. Had a fish finder that couldn't find it's own ass with both hands. Tried like hell to get some help from Lowrance on the web.

Finally, found them at the boat show and they just blew me off.

We'll see who blows whom. Fuck Lowrance!!!
