I just had Aquarius marine install one over a week ago I paid about the same for the outdrive. Total cost with gasket kit as well as having to have my engine re-alined was a painful $1981.00 even though he quoted me $1650.00 (makes you wonder) any how I've got 3 hours on it so far it shifts smooth when cold but I'm having to push the shift lever past nuetral into reverse to make the outdrive go into nuetral and the same for when it's in reverse and thats after I adjusted it. I did not have this problem on my orig. merc, maybe my shift cables need to be replaced?
I will be adjusting the cables again tommorow. Lance did tell me that they sell over $100K of these outdrives a year. good luck
