Starboard project, shopping for prices.

I've got an upcoming Starboard project and am shopping around for a price. I'm going to be replacing anything that's wood on my Skippy to Starboard.

Can anyone out there hook me up with someone who's not out to make a killing on this stuff? If there's someone who's planning a similar project, maybe they'd like to share the cost on a few sheets? It may make it more cost effective that way ... let me know!

CAll industrial plastics places like San Diego Plastics.

I get the stuff CHEAP from those guys.

You also want a "starboard" like material.

Re: Starboard project, shopping for prices.

Yeah, any HDPE product that's an equivalent to Starboard is fine. When you say cheap, what exactly does that mean? You can PM me if needed.

Re: Starboard project, shopping for prices.

Buy the "seaboard" brand. It's much less expensive than starboard. There may be others. Just make sure they're UV stabilized.

Seaboard in "seafoam" color is a perfect match for skippys. Much better match than starboard IMO.

HDPE - High Density Polyethylene

Re: Starboard project, shopping for prices.

I'm almost positive that starboard is high-density polyethylene (HDPE)
Do your research to confirm.
Here's the company I used last year to purchase some plastic products they sell to the public

Re: Starboard project, shopping for prices.

Tom, you're the man!

I'll hook up with you on the off season and talk. I still have a connect through Piedmont Plastics who's offering it pretty cheap (I think I told you about it last time we talked), but if you're ordering and can handle bringing in another couple of sheets that would be fantastic!
