Yak question

I am considering buying a Yak for bay/nearshore fishing. I was thinking the new Malibu Mini X-Factor might be the ticket. I would also consider used if anyone is selling one. I know there are some very accomplished Yak fishermen on here and I would appreciate hearing your thoughts. Thanks!

Re: Yak question

i have fished a mini-x and i liked it very much but my concerns are that it is to small for a bait tank and a place to put other items or even fish on the back. but then again it is very easy to paddle and handle and its fast. just my 2 cents!

Re: Yak question

I kind of figured the storage would be minimal, but I will primarily fish lures/plastics on this, so I was only thinking of a small (3gal) bait tank to hold a few baits. Also, the maneuverability is a factor because it will get dropped in some smaller lakes at times to fish in tight to cover. Thanks for the input, I'm a little surprised that it is "fast" due to it's length, but I know those guys make a great yak!
