Just wanted to take a minute to say I had a great experience (as far as spending a bunch of money on your baot can go) at the Outdrive Exchange in Costa Mesa. I've got a '89 25' Skippy with a 41A and 290 dp.
Good work, reasonable price, courteous service done in a timely manner. Let's just say I didn't have that feeling at another one of the diesel marine shops conveniently located near the top of the tallest hill in Long Beach - I won't say the name!
So no more straps holding up the outdrive anymore?
Later,
Michael

I agree on this one. Ray over at Outdrive Exchange has taken care of all my outdrive problems since I have owned my boat. He's differently an expert in his field.
