Yes it's just the blade. It is expensive, but I think it will be well worth it. I will also try and sell my 12" blades to recoup some of the money.

I don't see why adding a larger piece of stainless steel wouldn't work. Same basic theory. If you go that route, post some pictures.

That's how I got mine, someone else moved on. $100 for the set. I think that's what it was.

I DONT KNOW ABOUT THE PLATES BUT IM ORDERING SOME 12X12'S FOR MY BOAT. I FOUND THEM PRETTY CHEAP AT WWW.RIVERMARINESUPPLY.COMLOOKS LIKE THEY HAVE ALL SIZES....
