Great place to get stuff for your boat

Hey BD'ers.....

Just wanted to give a shout out to Ken @ http://www.fpmarine.com/

This is one of many marine surplus outfits in Florida and by far my favorite. I've found great stuff at his shop via the net and Ken is always willing to take measurements of what his got and email a pic of what he has. I've bought hatch covers, cushions and various hardware items. Ken gets most of his inventory from the many boat manufacturers on the east coast.

Today, I was looking for some continuous hinge material to replace broken stuff on the boat. It was weird size because it was more narrow on one side than the other. None of the marine superstores carried it. I called Ken and within a few minutes he made his way over to a huge bin of the stuff, found what I needed and sold it to me CHEAP. 10 bucks for 8 total feet of stainless hinge and just a few bucks more to ship it.

Save your hard earned money and stay OUT of Westmarine, BoatUS or any other yard whenever possible. There's lots of places on the net like this, this just happens to be my favorite one. You can save 1/2 or more off the cost of new.

KC out

Thanks for the heads up, good looking out. Now all I have to do is go down there and pick me up a new Wellcraft, someday for sure...
