Re: 2006 boat tags??

Still waiting for 2 sets, the third set was handed to me at the dmv, so by online seems to take longer.

Dude, there good for two years, the tags they are issueing now are good until 2007, the trailer, I don't know exactly how long there good for, I have the 'perm' trailer tags and just renew when I get the renewal notice.
If you are a member of AAA, go there and they will just pullit up on the puter and tell you what is current and how much, you can pay right there and get the tags at the same time.

Just my opinion, for not dealing with the DMV, its worth ten times over the cost of being a member of the Auto Club just in the registration stuff. I've been a member for thirty years and have all my insurance stuff with them, boats, cars, motor home, household stuff, I get great rates and nobdy can even get close to them on the rates, especailly for the boats and motor, home. Check them out. Might be the same or a little more initially, but as time goes on the rates just keep coming down.

If you do any traveling, you can make all your reservations with them also.

One thing if you get the insurance, get the extended RV service, its just a little bet more but the towing package alone is worth it. You get a 100 miles free towing on anything you own. My grandson broke down on his pickup out at Glamis a couple of weeks ago, I had his pickup picked up out in the sand dunes on a flatbed, they towed it all the way in from there to Smokey's shop in Escondido, no charge and no charge for the extra milage over what it was from Glamis over the 100 miles. Thats fucking fantastic in my opinion and worth the cost alone.

Re: 2006 boat tags??

Phew! I thought they were just holding the tags for the GAY boats. I was really looking forward to fishing with you guys too! Glad to hear you got them. You probably missed them when you went straight (yeah right! Straight!) for the gay porno mag that came in the mail.

Re: 2006 boat tags??

:ranton: Damn DMV. I checked my records and sent a payment to DMV on 11/16. Check cleared on 11/23. So I call DMV and tell them I didn't get my stickers. On the phone right now.
Lady says 'we sent them Dec. 8th, didn't you get them? "

Uh, no, or I wouldn't be calling.

"We have to wait 6 weeks. Delays due to Holiday".

I sent the payment 8 weeks ago lady. You cashed my check 7 weeks ago.

"Yes, but you have to wait 6 weeks".

Please Maam, my tags are expired and I need them.

"We processed your tags Dec 8th. You need to wait a few more weeks for them"

Maam, that was 5 weeks ago.

"I cannot help you sir. "

Please, let me speak with your supervisor. At which time they put me on hold.

Same lady comes back and says " I spoke with the supervisor and they said you have to wait until next week".

No, I says, I want to speak with the supervisor myself Please.

"Well, since you insist, I will do it just this once. What is your address" (thats the second time she asked for it.)

"I am sorry sir, but I am out of stickers. Let me transfer you to the supervisor".

WTF?

"hello sir, this is Lily. How can I help you?"

I really have to start over with the story?

"OK sir, but you really should have to wait longer. You should have your sticker by the end of next week. What is your address?"

Ugggghhhh. Idiots.
