Dude, there good for two years, the tags they are issueing now are good until 2007, the trailer, I don't know exactly how long there good for, I have the 'perm' trailer tags and just renew when I get the renewal notice.
If you are a member of AAA, go there and they will just pullit up on the puter and tell you what is current and how much, you can pay right there and get the tags at the same time.
Just my opinion, for not dealing with the DMV, its worth ten times over the cost of being a member of the Auto Club just in the registration stuff. I've been a member for thirty years and have all my insurance stuff with them, boats, cars, motor home, household stuff, I get great rates and nobdy can even get close to them on the rates, especailly for the boats and motor, home. Check them out. Might be the same or a little more initially, but as time goes on the rates just keep coming down.
If you do any traveling, you can make all your reservations with them also.
One thing if you get the insurance, get the extended RV service, its just a little bet more but the towing package alone is worth it. You get a 100 miles free towing on anything you own. My grandson broke down on his pickup out at Glamis a couple of weeks ago, I had his pickup picked up out in the sand dunes on a flatbed, they towed it all the way in from there to Smokey's shop in Escondido, no charge and no charge for the extra milage over what it was from Glamis over the 100 miles. Thats fucking fantastic in my opinion and worth the cost alone.
