trip log/twilight zone.......

I have a Standard Horizon CP175C chartplotter. After resetting the trip log to zero Friday night, I checked the 'page' Saturday morning after running South and it read 102nm which I fugured to be accurate at that point. The next time I checked it, a few hours later, to get a feel for how much fuel I was burning in the sloppy conditions it read 3948nm WTF. Anybody have a clue what's up with that? On of the guys onboard said when we get back to the dock it will be 2006!

(9/27) OK.....problem solved in case anyone has the same unit. It's a glitch in the software when I upgraded to the Max C-Map card last June. Standard Horizon gave me the # for the software upgrade card from C-Map that will correct the glitch. They were aware of the problem and C-Map will send out the card in a couple days. No charge as long as the upgrade card is returned within 2 weeks. Pretty good tech support from both outfits.
Laukia is online now
