Only played with it at the last trade show I was invited to. Its always easier when the rep is playing with you. He tried to explain it to me and at the time made perfect sense but as to now can't remmember a bit of it. Have used it on my buddies luhrs I'll try to get a hold of him and ask for ya. I do sell Icoms but my dealership never deals with anything big enough to use SSB. I will say I loved my 502 VHF and really love my M602 VHF and will be adding the M802 as soon as the wallet permits. If it ain't Icom it ain't on my boat. Give Spanishmack a buzz he should be able to explain.

I also recommend the 802. That is the most sold ssb down here even though alot of people do not use them anymore.
