2100 Striper range , need some?

I just got home from having a custom tank installed in my boat. The old only held 65 gallons, I love the boat , but the range was a problem. I originally opted to add custom saddle tanks to replace the side rod holders, you know, the ones we all use sooo frequently . But when we opened up the tank cover I couldnt believe it, a production tank with 6 full inches above it and 4 full inches in front. This translates to a custom tank adding roughly 35 gallons with no modifications. I was beside myself. Dropped my boat off this morning and went to breakfast with a few buddies whos names mysteriously wont go into any post, ran around for parts and drove home at 5:30 with a boat that has a 100 gallon tank now. I will post pics of the process when I get them for all you Striper owners unless this post is . By the way the custom tank builder is American Tanks in La Mesa. See you guys on the water.

Greg,

Great info on the tank! That is really great...the increased range will make a huge difference for you! What does this sort of boat implant surgery cost (to go from a 65 gallon A cup to a 100 gallon DD cup)? Did they have to cut through any of the cockpit deck to access the tank? Curious to know. Thanks for the info!

Alex

Thread still there

Greg,

Your thread is still on the F/J board last I looked. I also dont get why they would delete that thread, but then again I dont understand alot of things they do over there, they definetely dont like people giving honest feedback or opinions on things.

Also why do you suppose they moved the thread on F/J about the first marlin caught (moved to their special sorting section), I cant even come close to figuring that one out???

I was wondering the same thing, till I read that the first response to it was something to the effect of "Oh, so and so already caught 2... neener-neener"

I think they might have seen an argument coming on.... Which is still no reason to pull the plug though....

Question Maybe

But I still dont get it, as that response was totally tame and just asking a question the way I read it.

And then that crap they pulled with ATC Bill, that just really irritates me!!! A guy cant even voice an opinion on something tastfully without them just moving the thread away so no one can respond. Hell even Allcoast at least normally wont do that, at least they will let people hash things out and when the shit starts flying at them at least they have the decency to respond back for all to view and make a decision on their own.

I just found out about all this recent stuff that happened the other day (as I was working ) and still cant belive they are pulling this CRAP!!!

No surgery required on the boat! I will post pics as soon as I get them. The original tank just didnt utilize all the available space. It was pretty much a drop in, of course we had a bit of a learning curve on this one. Next time it will be a slam dunk for anyone else. As far as editing and moving the posts around, whatever
I was just eluding to the fact that you cant post if you had a great trip with names they dont like. Didnt go over too well with a moderator there. Any way this is very cool for Striper owners. I dont want to post the price, different year may have impact on the cost, but it was very affordable.
Also this is a family owned shop and really good people to deal with.

Good deal on upgrading the tank size . I even want to see pics of this one . I can't believe they didn't have to pull the deck up . That's great news . Yea , they are really wanting to monitor names on Posts over there . If you want to talk about John just call him Mr. T . I had an imediate name change upon posting my fish report Sunday . I had a PM from someone also that I am Not going to air out here . Give me a PM or a call if you want to know more . Can't wait to fish with you and give this new tank a test . Last I saw Taylor was the only one responding to your post and it was some stupid coment ! If you do Post something Controversial to them it doesn't come up in View New Posts . That way no one sees it . Most of those Yuckle heads don't look any farther than that anyway , so they know they are safe then . My Post Sunday went on the backbunner Imediately . Probably my last fishing trip report over there . I'll help out some of the Buddies I know over there but that's about it .......... There are still quite a few hanging with them . I gave one of them some info this AM before I left for work . No one else was responding to his request for help .

BuddyBoaters MY ASSE !

All the Real Buddy Boaters are BLOODY BOATERS now !
