Fuel vent question

On my 18' Parker there is a fuel vent right under the rubrail where you fill it up. It is a plastic peice that has a cap that screws onto it to prevent water from getting back up into it and into the fuel. The plastic cover broke off and I NEED to get one back on there ASAP.
Oh yea-West Marine (m.b/p.l), Q&m marine, and San Diego Marine Exchange do not have them or know where I can get one without replacing the whole vent. Sundance is lagging ass on looking into it as well.

Good luck,
Mine had the same one.. It was made by atwood out of HDPE and the combo of the sun/gas ate it up. It finally cracked and I payed it no mind because I couldn't find another one. It cost me $800 when I had to have my gas treated and my carbs on the outboard rebuilt. I finally had Doug at Sunset pull the old one out and put a new stainless steel one in. This time of year is fucked for getting boatwork done. Everyone is backed up.

Thanks for the comeback, Max

Yeah, I just spoke with John at Sundance Marine and he said they stopped making those . I will eventually get a stainless one put in. For now, though I will have to jap rig something to keep h20 from gettin in.

Post a pic of the stem sticking out of the boat. I have quite a few of the old style caps in my junk inventory. If I got the right one I'll give em to both you guys.

Thats a rough pic but looks like the same ones used awhile back on the Wellcrafts. I have quite a few. PM me your address and I'll stick one in the mail. If it is the correct one than great if its the wrong one than toss it in the round file, no harm no foul.

Even with a vent cap we were sucking water so........... we put a clamm shell over it and have had zero problemo's. Something to keep in mind.
