has anybody had any problems with the Rub Rail leaking on thier Striper. Mine seems to leak if we get a good rain. Not so much running in or out. Nothing major...just about an 1-3 ounces of water.

what about the bow rail conection to the hull? anybody ever have a leak there?

i have a 1998 2100 WA

thanks,
SS

..........funny you mention that , i have an 03 , 1851 striper walk around
and found about the same amount of water in the storage compartment
under the right cusion , about an ounce , checked the front and left compartment and they were dry , i thought it might be the porta-potty
pump out stuff on the starboard deck ( pumpout fitting and breather ) my porti-potty is a sealed system , like you mention only after heavey rains

yup...

same thing here. since your boat is a 2003 & mine a 1998...it seems Seaswirl has not fixed the problem. i am going to take the bow rail off (one post @ a time) and caulk it & tighten. the rub rail is a different story. Seaswirl used wood in the rub rail seam in 98. if it can be fixes...i'll fix it. the problem is finding what to fix.

i'm not knocking Seaswirl...i may buy another in a year or two...BUT...i want a boat that holds it's mud. am i asking too much?

If you need some marine grade silicone for the bow rail deck fittings lemme know , I have several tubes

I also have a Striper 2601. It gets alot of condensation under the cabin cushions and in the engine compartment. Bill Allison suggests you plug in a dry stick leaving one in the cabin and one in the engine compartment. Of course this will only work if you store your boat close to an electrical outlet! Ha! Ha! or if you have a hell of a long extension cord!

Same issue here. My cabin always has condesation under the seat cushions and the storage compartment next to the passengers seat usually has a fucking puddle in it after any amount of rain.

It's kind of starting to irritate me.
