Cracked and delaminated fiberglass

The Plywood Deck up on the Tower Has been detiorating over the last few years. The fiberglass over plywood is Brittle and Cracked and raised up. Missing a couple of chunks that I have broken off here and there. The plywood itself seems fine. MY QUESTION is. What is the most cost effective way to Redo the Plywood? Is Tearing off the old fiberglass and Just painting it with something an option? Or should it be re-glassed? Were talking about a 3'x8' piece of plywood.. JD

Strip it down and reglass with epoxy, make sure you seal up all edges. How about Star Board?

Thought about Star board. Not really my idea of Cost effective. Guess I'm just cheap.

$2 door mat from Home Depot. They have rubber on the bottom. Calk all edges with Vulchem. You can probably find the right color calking too. . Cheap enough for you?

Use duct tape, it's probably cheaper than the Home Depot mat

I second stripping and relaying epoxy. Yeah cheap is nice, but one pin hole letting water in and you wind up having to re-do it later.

I used to be the king of cheap. Take it from me, do it right the first time. It'll save you money and time in the long run.

No need to to ghetto a 25' Skippy! To nice of a boat.

Okay, So I pull off the all the carriage bolts and get the two pieces of plywood off. Strip off the old delaminated Fiberglass. Clean-up the plywood then Laminate the Ply with Epoxy and Matt? Even if I do an outstanding job of Layin it up it still needs holes for the bolts that hold it down. One good thing is that it only gets wet when it rains or when I wash it down. If its getting salt water on it were gettin our asses Scary shit handed to us or were Sunk.

IF the ply is dry then biaxial and epoxy. Drill the bolt holes twice oversize, stuff with glass and epoxy and drill for bolt holes. IF the ply is dry and solid.

Biaxial. Is that the kind of fiberglass cloth? Also what about a non skid on top? Do I color the Epoxy or paint it afterward? Damn, It sounds like I need a Glasser or someone that knows this shit.
