gil thanks man cant wait to get her wet. the boat that is yea starting with a blank canvas for sure. the only hole in this thing is for the outdrive. Going to get started friday...first question:

where should I drill the hole and mount the bait pump??
Mpg is 2, The bait pump pickup was already installed on mine. It is just forward of the steering pump/ alt side of the engine. Clamshell pickup and bronze ball valve. Hose runs from there, to the stern access cover area where there is a shurflow, hoses then run up ,underneath the toe kick storage thingys to tanks on either side of the PH. Overflow is out each side of the boat. This works well, all hoses are out of the way, but when you only use 1 bait tank it takes some shifting of things to balance the boat. Trim tabs would probably help this. Although I do wonder if the added drag of tabs helps or hurts mileage. Hell.....in the end lots of things are a trade off though.

Put tabs on it Lou. What you gain is 10 fold over what you give up.

trim tabs are a must, I wouldn't know what to do with out them.
