We have an evenrude 2001 200hp outboard. When we start th emotor after we have run for a while the check engine beeper sounds. We have changed the fuel wtaer sensor and had the codes run but still do not know why it still does this. The boat runs smooth . Very puzzeled.
No other codes found when scanned? Was the laptop hooked up to the engine when you were out on a sea trial? [or just sitting on the trailer]
On a 2001 model, some error codes won't be saved in memory and/or were not available to view by other than the techs at OMC. The repair shop software could not identify some error code #s but... now you can get information about an un-identified error code #, by contacting Tech support at Bombardier.
