Marine Fabricators, Southern California

I'm looking for someone to build a 30" Leaning post for a 18.6" center console, I'm going back and forth about the pain in the ass of making one myself or just buying it. Does anyone know of a reputable outfit in southern California (I live in orange county)? I've seen quite a few listings in Florida but none in california. Thanks!

There are a lot of "stock" type leaning posts out there. Greyshock, Pacific Yacht Towers, Towerfab, are great places local to O.C.
I dragged my boat to Pacific Edge in Hunt. Bch. and had him access the same situation for me, including a new bait tank setup. Mark Wisch is a wealth of info for that.

Whaler bait tanks & Lean posts..

For your Whaler you might want to consider making a lean post seat frame from stainless steel, then have a nice seat fabricated from starboard then upholstered.

This design leaves room for a stand alone bait tank underneath, inside the frame.

Others just place a nice size bait tank then affix a seat on front on it.

The s.s. frame gives you the ability to hang rod holders, net rings, etc from the frame and provides great holding rails for travel.

Rail makers & C-fab in Costa Mesa do great work with s.s.

Plan on through bolting the system in your deck and run all plumbing under the deck. The later will take some custom fiberglass work and through hulls. The guy to utilize on that part of the install is Steve Keene from Keene Boat Repair in Costa Mesa.

Below is a system I built for a 27’ Whaler, same concept just bigger.

He did the radar arch on my whaler, and I love it

Tony did my tower for 1/2 of what the other guys wanted, and did a kick ass job! Nice guy too. Go there.

Look up WISE seats or TACO. I bought a WISE lean post for about $600 for my 22 Edgewater. Nice seat.
