Fuel/water seperator

Apparently I got some water in my fuel, probably in one of our rough trips to SCI a couple of weeks ago.
I drained my water fuel seperator and my Yamaha has a secondary one on the engine so I am not too worried.
Someone suggested a add a water absorbing additive. I want to do this before adding fuel as I only have 25 gallons left in the tank.
Any thoughts on these additives?
Thanks,
Dave

Soltron has worked for us. I'm sure there are others that would work just find. It fixed or problem and we use it all the time and have not had anymore water in the fuel issues.

I use Sea Foam for many reasons. On 2-Strokes a carbon cleaner is needed to prevent build up/ring jacking. The stuff also cleans injectors/carbs, stabilizes fuel, and lubes. It dries Oil and Fuel. It works for 4 strokes and Diesels too. There are products geared only to drying out fuel which may work better if you have alot of water in there, but this stuff gives you alot more, and can be used on a regular basis.

Before I owned it, my Century had the fuel tank vent jam nut loosen and the vent spun. It was taking in water and it blew the engine. The owner took it to a shop, reman installed, and they put it back in. On the first trip out, the fuel pump siezed. They parked it and couple years later I picked it up. I was amazed to find that the fuel system was never cleaned and the vent was still loose. I guess what I am getting at is check for how the water is getting in. Check your vents and o-rings on the fillers just to be safe.

on a side note make sure water isnt going to get in again. most folk neglect the seal on the fuel cap. some caps with the built in vent will actually let water in over time as the 1 way valvle breaks down and also simply by bad design.
