Trolling motor help

I have an older 1984 alluminum 16' Smoker Craft "Big Fisherman" that is still quite servicable. I am wanting to put a bow mount trolling motor on it but have no idea about shaft length. Does anyone have a similar setup that will help advise me?

Check out MinnKota's website. Click on Products and choose fresh or salt water fishing. You will be asked a series of questions and they will recommend several models for your boat type.
