| Defiance, Parker or Steiger craft?
Im in the market for a trailerable boat in the 22'-26' range. I got it narrowed down to 3 brands, Defiance, Parker and Steiger craft. Any opinions on these brands? Any reason why you would choose one over the other? Looking at the enclosed pilot house models with outboard on an off shore bracket...

Service and a reliable dealer should be a factor in your decission as well. they all have warranty concerns or repairs

Looking at the enclosed pilot house models with outboard on an off shore bracket... | Do a quick search.....lots and lots of comparison threads on Parker vs. Defiance. I think there are a few with Steigercraft mixed in as well. I have owned a Parker 2320 and in my opinion no other boat compares in that size range. I sold it at the beginning of 08 and to this day I am bummed. I bought an Edgewater and although it is an outstanding boat, it just doesn't compare with the Parker's fishability. Good luck!

Do you have your choice of outboard power on each? Some boat manufacturers only rig with specific outboards (yamaha, mercury, etc.). To me that would be as much of a factor as the hull, especially when you consider service work, access to mechanic, etc. If you hate yamaha and parker only comes with yamaha that would be a problem.

I would defiently look at the BAMF. I bought one of their 29's and run it up in Alaska. The 25 is simular to an Osprey but its built 10 times better and has more cabin and deck space than their 24. The fish-holds are huge. Thats what sold me.

I own a Parker but I like the fact that defiance has a life time hull warranty. On the other hand will defiance be around long enough to back the warranty. I would go with Parker.
