Where do you keep your boat in the OC?

We have our boat in Newport Harbor - Newport Dunes dry storage.

Downside: It's expensive, 30 minutes to get out of the harbor, and there are less bait options.

Upside: Free water at the wash rack, 500' to the ramp.

Where do you guys keep your boats in Orange County? How much is it? Are there other facilities in OC where the storage is near the ramp? What do slips cost in other harbors?

Thx

Call Sunset Aquatics in HB.
I checked the pricing last year and dry storage was relatively cheap (can't remember the exact pricing)...

I keep my boat in SJC about 2 miles from the harbor in a storage facility. It costs about 135.00 per month. I use Dana Point harbor as my home port. Since I have been there over 6 years I have 24 hour access including holidays.

Is it difficult to get 24 hour access?

I keep mine at Sunset Aquatic in HH and love it there. I saw a new guy there a few weeks ago and it looked like his deal is about $190/month. It's at the ramp which is included in the rental fee.

It took a while about a year of paying on time every month. But once they know your are honest and not going to do damage or rip things off I would imagine you could get the same access.

Sunset Aquatic has 24 hour access, washdown at the ramp, security cameras, and remember free launch ramp use.
