Not sure but they did my Dads Skipjack trailer and it came out ok. I think he wished he would have spent more money on a Pacific.

Are they still in Business? I bought mine from them back in '98 and it's still pulling my Skippy. I'll admit it the bunks could be replaced and the leaf springs have seen there better day, but Hanna is still sitting nice and pretty on it. Over 10 years and a lot of miles. But yea Gary..........thought they went out of business.......does anyone else know?

Curtis.........

The boat Hanna............

He moved. Last I visited him, he was subleasing space from a Motorhome Storage yard. It was a major North/South Street in Inglewood. I waited forever to get service and never got the right answer. I had him build me a Baja Trailer for my Blackman 20 back in '98. Initially it came out in the standard model missing strenthening trusses at the corners. These should have been put in before the thing was hot dip galvanized. He welded them in place after the fact and used some sort of spot hot galvanizing on it.

The original axles were 3500# and 2" x 2" cross section tubing. They were insufficient for the weight of the boat and ended up flexing and the tires would wear out on the inside. I ended up replacing with 2" x 3" cross section Spindle Lube axles rated at 3500# from Champion Trailers. Best thing I ever did.

Side bunks did not match up with my boat. Too much gap. Had to add 4x4 spacing blocks to get them closer.

Original tires were Carlisle bias ply. They were throwing tread within a year.

Other than that, wonder if he's still in business. Highly doubt it. I've gone elsewhere to get parts and can get them much cheaper with better services. Well any service is better than Garges as he offered virtually none.

I've used Garges/baja trailers for the past 15 years on my last three boat trailers. First in Inglewood, then to Carson now in Gardena. The new owner, Don, used to work for years at Garges trailers in Inglewood and later bought the company and moved it to Gardena. He builds rugged off road trailers and boat trailers - good quality work at a fair price. He's performed routine maintenance for me over the years and have been satisfied to date. I think his website is www.bajatrailers.com. Phone number is 310-877-7287
