I think the key is to just keep an eye on things periodically. Pull plugs and pack with dielectric grease as part of your regular service. I dont think that main harness plug on my engine had ever been pulled apart.

Nate, the water is probably from condensation. The dielectric silicone is your answer to removing water and condensation from electrical connections. Spray the shit all over the connections, plug together and you are done!
