I have a small leak in my intake and need to pull the intake manifold......What's your opinion?.....

Looks like a reed in two stroke reed valve... When those clog up with crap or corrosion... You will need to pull the intake and replace them... I wouldn't put that on a marine engine... The whole idea is more fuel atomization... This is a gimic IMO....

Just get a good set of Fel Pros....

I was thinking more in the area of any small crap going through the air intake; the screen might create more turbulance too...if the race guys don't use it, it usually isn't worth it

Forget clogging, what if the "screen" breaks free.

They would also result in "quench". the fuel air mix fould hit the screen and slow momentarily allowing the fuel droppletts to fall out of suspension and pool. not a good burn. Use factory.
