Charging batteries

In my Sea Pro 206CC I have a two battery system set up with a selector switch so I can run on battery #1 or #2 or both together. When I charge them up before going out I charge them one at a time with the selector switch set to the off position. Is it possible to charge them both at the same time if I set the switch to the dual battery position? I'm assuming that the dual position is for charging the batteries while under way?
Thanks for any input.
Dave

You will be able to charge them both but they will only charge to capacity of the least resistant battery and will show full as if they are one battery.
There is a lot of info on this site: THE SOLAR BiZ - Solar Power Systems for a Sustainable Future

Thank you so much for that article. I have many questions on the same topic and that helped.

I've got the same type of setup. Just get a dual bank battery charger. It will charge them both and keep them topped off. I have a ProMariner Prosport 12 that charges both my batteries. You can get it for a little over $100....small investment that will be put to good use.

You may have a transfer switch on your master breaker board.

If so, switch it on and both batteries will charge together.

Good info already about shorepower charging. Add a Yandina combiner between the batteries and they will both charge underway no matter which battery is selected by the switch.
