Canvas and aluminum support

I need a company that will go to my boat in North county. I need some custom aluminum or ss framing for a sun shade and the canvas cover.

Also you guys that have had cushions made did you make a template and bring it to the sewing guy and if so did you just cut it out of paper?

I only need two cushions for the V-berth but the sun shade will be a bit more work. I hope to get one made that will fold back against the wheel house when not in use. 10 feet wide, 7 feet long and about 6 1/2 feet high. I fished a boat that would fold it up then get all the lines set then pull it open while trolling. When you get bit it gets folded up while fishting the fish.

I will also need a mooring cover for storage. Wheel house to stern.

Canvas

I do Canvas - Upholstry Vberths etc.

You have a sweet boat don't get talked into going cheap. The Canvas should compliment your boat not detract from it.

On the vberth you can use butcher paper and tape it down with masking tape. Then take a pencil or sharpie and trace how you want the veberth to go for example if you want it to split at the center? or break it up in 3 to 4 pieces so you can get into your hatches? Next step how thick do you want the foam? 4 " of Good foam is mighty comfy. Next step you will need a tape measure and a square (combination square is fine) At the bow take the square to the edge of the outline line you put on the paper (outboard edge)then go up four inches and measure the gap to edge of the hull , write that number down on the paper

now go about every 20 inches and repeat the process untill you reach the aft end of the berth.

That measurement will give you the angle the foam will have so it will lay in the v berth perfectly.

Send me a PM and I will fix you up

Thanks Ole. What I was lookin at was your nice looking boat cover and canvas stuff.

Dave, I will call you today and thanks for the info. What I want I might not be able to do but it sure is worth a try. I am hopping to come up with a sun shade that has the supports anchored to the wheel house so the bracing isn't in the way of fighting a fish that "runs up the rail"
