Fished today with PBFred Kong 3000. Bounced the PB/MB flats with large sardines during the storm for nothing but raked baits. Very wet and lumpy out there. When west winds blew the precip away around 11:00 we headed south to some ling spots off OB where only 2 dink Rodneys came up for air. With the settling storm, winds were shifty and unkind to our quest to pound away on tasty structures. Around 1:00, several species of birds showed up in force, diving on fast moving baitfish. Cudas and calicos chasing the bait and scattered wide from MB to Green Tanks, with some heavily concentrated areas popping up off Hill St. and the big antennae. Besides dink cudas we bit off the bite with a kelp bass party. Open water (120') and in the outer jungle - craploads of 2#_ calicos, with a topper topping 4# for me - all on 5.5 Big Hammers ripped through the photosphere. Left them raging at 4:00. Exhausting adventure, ended well with the hot calico bite.
