kinda brain dead right now, but i'll get a story together in a bit. in short;

LAX to Miami 5 hrs
miami to manaus 5 hrs
manaus to barcelos 1 hr
bacelos to boat 10 min via truck

fished in everything from dumping 78* rain to 90+ * humid hot sun. some of the gang got 20+lb'rs but my bigest was 13ish. still awesome.

OTTER

The ‘OTTER’ launched in 2005 is 88 feet long and 24,6 feet wide, has four decks, 8 double cabins with large twin beds, one cabin with a double bed, individual air conditioning units in each cabin, all with private bath, and hot water showers. On the first deck we have the command, five passenger cabins, crew quarters, kitchen and service areas. On the second deck we have four passenger cabins, a 350 square foot enclosed dining room, a small open veranda, and service areas. On the third deck we have two covered verandas one in the front and one in the back, one sun deck area with an outdoor Jacuzzi, a bar, a toilet and a nice 250 square foot enclosed living room. The fourth deck is a 360 panoramic sun deck.

Sounds amazing and fun as hell.
Something I've had on my must-do-before-I-croak list, ever since I saw Larry Dahlberg fishing the Rio Negro area on Hunt Big Fish.
Those are some great pix. That peacock coming out of the water is insane! I have a hard time remembering to pull out the camera and chronicle the event.

Did you eat those piranha? I hear they are delicious, and fun to catch.
