| Open period: Contest is open from 1st of contest month to the last day of the same month, month ending at midnight on the last day. Anglers: Anglers of any age and location are welcome. Boundaries: There are no boundaries, any legally fishable waters are allowed. Fishing methods: Artificial baits ONLY, No squid strips allowed. Any and all artificial baits are allowed, swimbaits, hardbaits, worms etc. Fishing must be done in a sporting manner with rod and reel. All current DFG rules are in place, NO CHUMMING allowed. Eligible species: Calico, Spotted and Sand bass are eligible, as are Largemouth bass. Fish Must be 12 inches to be submitted. Judging: Judging will be done by a panel of veteran bass anglers. Judges will review the months submissions and determine the big bass for the month based on LENGTH OF FISH. In the case of a tie, Judges will determine a winner based on other factors. Judges decisions are FINAL. Submitting an entry fish: The contest will be judged on LENGTH OF FISH. Place fish onto a flat surface, with a rigid measuring device placed above the fish in the photo with the tip of the measuring device starting at the nose of the fish, mouth closed. Photo Quality: Photos must show clearly the fish and the inch measurements. Photo must be taken at a straight on angle (90 degrees from fish), No side shots, must have entire fish in the photo. Photos of poor quality are hard to judge and will not be accepted. Take your time and ensure that you get a good, clear photo of the fish. Photos can be submitted via email (JESSE@SWIMBAIT.COM). Prizes: Winner will be determined after the close of the contest month. Winner will be contacted and prizes will be shipped to them, Or if local, delivery can be arranged. Disqualification: Photos can be DQ’d if the photo is of poor quality, If ruler measurements are not readable, or if it is believed that the photo has been altered. Photo DQ’s only mean the photo isn’t of quality to judge confidently, or the fish was not positioned correctly. Photo DQ’s do not disqualify you from the contest. There are any number of reasons a photo might not make the cut, make sure your photos are as good as can be. If you submit an altered photo and the judges determine that it has been modified with the intent to cheat the contest that member will be disqualified from the entire contest, and will not be allowed to participate in future events.
