That pretty cool.

I welded my old trailer and I DO NOT know how to weld. That was actually my first time. It's amazing what you can learn by owning a boat and not having lot's of mad money. These days I can do all kinds of boat repairs that I shouldn't know how to do. Just gotta go for it.

Jesse, did you forget to mask off your license plate?

Klamath's are cool.....welded seams.

It looks like your trailer needed some TLC. How were the wheel bearings?

My leaf springs (pretty much all rust) are held together with two hose clamps and a bent clip...squeaky but doin' it. Of course, yesterday my whole rig was getting the pro ride home on a flatbed, trailer and all. I feel the whole rebuild vibe coming on...out of necessity, considering RoadOne will not be taking my rig to the launch ramp next weekend. Welding however, is not one of my tricks. Your trailer looks rad Jesse, jealous.

PS Fishtricks...not 24 hours after our trailer falling apart convo, there I was, wheel half off, soakin' some rays on the side of the road...at least it was on the way home. Matt of course got big fish. 5 pounder, every time, it's like the sun coming up, you can count on it.

leaf springs are very cheap guys , i recently had to replace both mine . got them from west marine for about $ 30.00 each

all you need is the GVW of the axle & a length over all of the spring

good luck

trailer looks good jesse quit working & go fishing you have been MIA for way 2 long bro

Surface rust is totally normal. Don't sweat it unless it starts eating away a good percentage of the springs. Use a rust primer and paint over them to slow it down.

Jessie is gay.

BTW got a whole new axle/leaf spring/ hubs/bearings/clamps/whatsits & widgets for the trailer yesterday from Pacific Trailer...whole new undercarriage in one day (custom welded axle) for 300 bucks, rest of trailer is in prime condition so should be bueno from here forward. Those guys rock...I called up to give them the specs and he asked me when I needed it..."how soon can I get it"..."I can have it welded and done in 1 1/2 hours"...killer! Only hassle was the 91E traffic. Back in business for the weekend.
