Boy I tell ya,...This whole "bigger than the record" buzz wore off quick. Very stale tasting.
The good news is, I caught a 5lb calico bass on my flyrod with a homemade fly, and that's where the beauty is. I'm thrilled about that part!

Turns out the largest fly record calico bass is 6lbs 1oz which is a good thing cause 4lbs ain't big enough to be no world record. I got my info from The log which is a local free mag. The info was way off.
I'm still super jazzed about a 5lber!!
