Tackle:
14 x 7' Custom built Melton casters, Trinidad 30's and Torsa 30's (Trinidads were the reel of choice for better casting freespool but Torsa's for teh drags spooled with 65 lb. hi-vis braid worm knotted to 100 yards of 30 lb. regular clear Berkley Hi Test (we had a 1,000 yard spool sitting behind the chair) then snelled on through the bend side of the eye an Eagle Claw L2004EL 8/0 circle hook with the bait either just pinned through the mackerels nose or using Quick Rig bait clips.
Our tournament requires that the leader lengths are measured off clearly marked with Black or Red or a tag at the leader length if no leader material is used so its clear in the picture and the observer can see it as well. No leader in the picture with hand on the leader and fish in the picture ................does not count. No exceptions.
