Went out on a half day trip today. Left at noon and went to the cerro colorado area ( in front of the westin hotel), 3 to 5 miles offshore stripe marlin are starting to show up a little on the cape side of Cabo. Seas were calm with very little wind.
Released 2 marlin kept 3 dorado and one small tuna. the dodo's went around 15lbs. Not bad for a 5 hour trip.
On tuesday mourning a school of 15 to 20 lb yellowtail showed up in front of the Arch and there
were several boats that got in them pretty good. they didn't seem to stay around though because the next day a shit load of boats tried for them in the am for nothing. Its a good sign for this early in the winter season. The Yellowtail fishing can be great fun and its just a short run to get out to them. They bit until June this year. Me being from san diego originally fishing for yellowtail was a favorite past time.
Here is a few pics of the last season Yellowtail fishing
