Baja Robbery

Has anyone seen a news report on this Baja robbery in T.J.? I hope some press has come from it. Don't know if it will do any good. T.J. .is dangerous, there must be some way we could put pressure on the mayor and the city. I fell bad for those guys, I'm so glad they made it back to their families safely.

Hey Mike how you doing? Long time -no see. If you look in todays UT , there is a story about the robberies in TJ. What a shame that the Mexican Government allows corrupt police to continue assulting the America tourists that pump money into their system. As always keep your guard up and be alert. call me and lets go fishing Randy

First off, the Mexican government is not "permitting" anyone to steal.

So I would be interested in reading where the culprits were caught, identified to be policemen, and let go.

Anyone have the stats on tourists robbed in Miami everyday or how many are killed each year in petty stick ups?

My family was robbed in Jamaica; bottom line is that tourists are a target anywhere.

I feel bad for the people that got jacked……there is one common factor they all happened @ night.

Travel in the day and you should be okay.

I think we need another forum for travel or something; the fishing reports are getting harder to find.

I have empathy for the victims and appreciate the 1st hand reports but I am sure the Mexican government does not want tourists getting robbed.

Hopefully the guys will get caught but as a tourist you should try not to travel @ night if you can help it. There are dickheads in every country that will jack you if they get the chance to.

Re: Baja Robbery

Jeff If the government is corrupt from top to bottom what makes you think that the police are any different????????????????????????????? Why do you think that the 'cop' in the reported story was talking on a cel phone and not the police radio. the whole place is rotten .BTW who is in charge of the federal police ? Not the federally appointed commissoner?????

Re: Baja Robbery

If you don't think the corrupt Mexican Police and other officials are either ignoring this problem or allowing it to continue, then you are very naive. It couldn't continue without some official help.
