Yellows on paddys, K&M

I had long time freind Jhon Cote and his buddy Larry "Lookout" Iglesias
on the boat yesterday, we were deciding on a gameplan that night and the boys said they didnt care what we did as long as it wasnt bottomfishing. Thats what i wanted to hear! (i dont mind groundfishing but id rather look for pelagics) It was WSB down south or take a look outside.
We decided to head out as it was such a nice day. We left the dock at about 4:30am corked the bait tank and lit the afterburners on 260º heading. We passed over the 240 and the water was still a little cold (58º). As we were at about 15-18 miles out there were alot of boats coming back down the line.I talked to a boat coming back from Cabo and he said the water was pretty green even far south so i just kept going west. As we got to 30 out there was a good break south to north and the temp jumped from 57º to 63º in only a half mile. The paddys were scarce but there were a lot of small pieces and strips, there were also alot of albatross? The first paddy we found looked sterile but i tossed a few spanish out to see if we could get em to come up and within seconds there were schoolie-tails all over. Cote,Larry and myself were all hooked up. Larry had a fish at gaff so i had to stick my rod(fish still on) in a holder and gaff Larrys fish..........Bling! fish gone, Jhon got his in and we had the fish on the stern now drifting downstream from the paddy. Tossed some more macks and this time i pin on a big 8" mack (tail hooked) and it goes straight down, we then see off to one side fish busting out....and they wernt yellows.I got picked up on 20lbs flouro on a trinidad 14 wt spectra....the thing was screaming when it just snapped !$/&=?!!!!!
We saw another jumper, bigger and getting some serious air........ I got picked up again on the light flouro and this time got back a spit shreaded bait with teethmarks (not bonito) We found one other paddy got some lost some ( Cote got buttholed in the bush twice)
Anyhow we ended up with only 5 fish due to angler error(mine included)
It was a fun day and the weather was perfect.
I think 50 out is the ticket, gonna check it out tomorrow!
"Can we get some circus music" .........quoted during multiple farm episode. Due to an error in page,it wont let me attatch photo.....but ill post as soon as it fixes.
