puertecitos this weekend 5/4-5/6

thinking about trailering my 19 whaler. anybody have any info on hotels? launch ramps? what can i expect to catch this time of year?

There are some rooms for rent at the cove near the launch ramp. The people that run the place aren't very helpful though. Puertocitos is a wierd scene, don't expect to find anything open or working when you get there. Corvina, WSB and bottom fish right now. Trolling the shoreline tight with rapalas will get you the occasional grouper but watch the rocks and reefs.

Puertocitos is kind of a wierd scene. we have a place 1/2 way between San Felipe and Purtocitos and there isn't much by way of accomodations or gas south of San Felipe. You can camp inside the launch area in Puertocitos and there are some markets and restaurants along the way. Make the run to the islands if possible. Bring extra gas cans to top off your fuel.
