Fishing trip to Puertesitos.
[FONT=/> I got home from school one Wednesday, my dad had a surprise for me. He said that we where going on a fishing trip to Puertesitos. I was so excited. After we were all done packing we left our house, it was 6 pm. My dads work partner Tony was going to see the Baja 1,000. The drive from here to Gonzaga took us 7 hours to get there. We were tired we went to sleep in are sleeping bags. s Day 1 When we woke up we put the boat in the water and the water was as calm as glass. We decided to head to the closest island once. We got there we started fishing. My dad and I caught a lot of triggerfish and sea bass. Then I got a big hit on my line, I set the hook, I had a fish on. I reeled it up and got it in. It was a pargo red snapper, I was excited. After a while of fishing we decided to head back to camp. We got back to our little camp place, we met are neighbors, there names were Mike and Butch. They were nice, my dad and me had breakfast with them. That night we just relaxed till it was night, we were still tired from the drive over there, we went to sleep in sleeping bags on the boat. Day 2 We got up and saw a local panga man taking two people, we decided to buddy boat with them. The man showed us spots to fish. me and my dad caught a lot of bass, my dad decided to use a iron lure with squid on the back of it. He was jigging his off the bottom, he had a big hit. At first I thought that it was a rock, but then it was taking line out fast. It took my dad about 20 minutes to reel in, when we saw color I got the gaff I gaft it, it was a grouper we weighed it, it was 45 pounds my dad was using 20 pound test. After a while the fish stopped biting so we decided to head back when we got back we met new people, there names were Gary and Susan. They were nice. My dad and me decided to go to the natural hot spring near by. When we got there we went inside, some were boiling hot, and some were warm, after that, me and my dad ate some fish. The chef at the restaurant made us some rice and beans, it was good, then we whet to sleep. Day 3 We got up a 5:30, we put the boat in the water and headed to Las Encantadas to pick up Tony and his friends. it took us an hour to get there. They had another panga for some of them. We had 6 people on are boat it took us 15 min. to get to the island from there. Once we got there we started fishing, I caught the first fish it was a 35 pond grouper, it pulled the line hard. 5 min. later I caught a 25 pound one, and another one, 30 pounds. After that we moved to the big island. On the way we saw a boil, we put the trollers out, it was sierra fish, we had a lot of hook ups we caught lots of them, but then, they started taking our lures because they have sharp teeth. We decided to go close to the island, we drove the boat in a cave in the island. There was a lot of sting rays and tropical fish it was cool, then we went fishing more. I kept on hooking fish and letting the other kids reel it in, it was cool to see them reel in the fish to. Then we de sited to head back, we dropped them off a their place and we had to go on the boat for another two hours because it got a little rougher. As soon as we got back we asked the chef if he had a deep fryer and he brought us a big one. We invited the neighbors, we talked to Susan and Gary they were from Canada. We made alot of fish tacos, they were good, after we were full we went to sleep. ][/font]

We got to shelter island, we launched the boat and headed to the Coronados. When we got the there, we gigged for rock fish and I got a hit, I reeled it up it was a culpun. I released it we put the trollers out and we caughtt a small bonito, we kept jigging hoping to get a yellow tail the fishing slowed down after that so we headed back. It was still fun, it was cool going fishing for 5 days in a row I think that was my favorite fishing trip yet. The End of my fishing trip
