Cabo San Lucas 11/18-22

Took my son down to Cabo for the first time.
Day 1: Had great expectations until he puked his guts out for 10 hours on the first day. Oh well, he'll live. Put a patch behind his ear that night and no more sea sickness for the rest of the trip. I'm gonna buy stock in that shit. Anyway, day one por nada due to trying to keep on eye on my son.

DAY 2: The next day ran up to the finger bank to get in on the stripper action. WFO on the bait balls. tagged and released at least a dozen. ran back down to the golden gate to make bait for the next day and found some nice dorado.

DAY 3: Today was spent catching football Yellow Fin Tuna for my son and then we took some and pulled them for the bigger marlin, but nothing bit. The Gorda Bank was empty with no signs of life.

DAY 4: Caught some more football Yellow Fin Tuna in the morning, then ran offshore pulling lures for what ever we might find. Only a couple of small dorado and one stipper. Back to the dock at 1:30pm and off the airport.

The kid had a great time except for being sick for the first day. I'll take him back next month for round 2. All in all a great Thanksgiving trip for father and son.

Nice job Marc, Bill took the words right out of my mouth, that dodo is a usmc camo fish. That little tooner is easily a $100 baitfish at Bisbees. What boat were you riding? Very clean looking, nice deck, and looks pretty new. Glad the kid was stoked the last couple of days, looked like a really good time. Drew

Re: Cabo San Lucas 11/18-22

thanks for all the kind replies. i read them with my laptop and son on my lap. he didn't understand, but he keeps laughing at the pictures. it's all good. maybe when he grows up i'll show him the "other" side of cabo......at night.

hey drew, i'm fishing my friend's boat. it's a 43' mikelson 2004. yeah, we did the bisbee thing and several other tournaments the last 2 years and hopefully for the next 20+. it's a good time, but the wife is getting tired of me being in cabo for 3 weeks every october plus my in between trips down there. she keeps saying i have "a" girlfriend down there...... i have no idea what she's talking about, there's more than just one!

Clarke, yeah that kid did much better than I thought he would. We're gonna have to meet up down south sometime soon and get some fishing in. Are you taking your boat down next year? I think we're doing La Paz next summer then back to Cabo for the tourneys in Oct. and then down to PV. Hope to see you down there!
