Re: san felipe fishing?

If Fishnit and reelhoojup bring their girlfriends to San Felipe, Holy Hell, count me in! That looks a lot like the girls I saw on La Jolla shores this weekend.....all of 'em trying to outdo the other in a wet nipple contest. A lot of weaponary.....

Re: san felipe fishing?

San Felipe isn't known for great fishing. Over the years its kind of gotten fished out. Mostly corvina, small calicoes, and a few other misc. species.
There is one solitary rock offshore about three miles where the pangas will take you if its not to windy. You don't want to be out there when the wind comes up. It can get nasty. But corvina make great fish tacos and the local taco stands will cook them up for you at a very reasonable price. Oh yeah
you catch a lot of eels out there too. If the fishing sucks there is always
Bar Miramar.

Re: san felipe fishing?

I fished there during spring break 2 years ago. My buddies were all to hung over to go so I talked my 2 chick friends into going with me on a panga. Had fun, got drunk and went skinny dippin' with the girls!! (the mexican dude running the boat got a kick out of that). As for the fishing it was actually pretty good, no big game fish but lots of big corvina, a million spotted bay bass, I cought the biggest fish (a nice 7-8 lb. grouper) on a fish trap swimbait. I took a little plano box with assorted plastics, it was a good idea, you should too. All their gear sucks!!! If you go into the Rice and Beans cantina, they have awesome old pictures on the walls of guys holding up 100-300lb. Tortuava, a rare indangered fish they used to catch back in the day that looks like a white seabass ON THE JUICE!!!! There illegall to catch now but I heard they still get them every once in a while. Drink a cerveza for me!!!
