YFT - Los Cabos

fished two days last weekend off of palmilla, los cabos. first day got skunked, second day ran into a school of nice size Yellow Fin Tuna at about 25 miles. landed two that weighed about 65 lbs and one that was about 15. lost a real big fish that grabbed my best lure.

weather was hot, ocean was moderately rough and water was ridiculously cold. i tell ya, if you want to fish down there get in touch with julio, he runs the show at palmilla. there are cruisers and pangas. the first day i booked through eric at gordo banks and paid 150.00 more than day two which i booked directly with julio. pm me for his number if you want it.

Awesome, Very nice... Heading down there Aug. 6th for a week on the pond. I have access to the cruiser owned by Eagle Roofing Products but wouldn't mind fishing with someone new down there. Send me that phone number and I'll give Julio a call. Hope some of those toad yellowfin show up!! Thanks for the report.

I didi the same booking mistake. Paid way to much for 2 days cruiser rental
from eric. Julio hooks up the good prices and both days we went out of palmilla we had great bait. Bot named tres hermanos or amigos or some shit
Both days we were back at the westin swimming and drinking nursing our swollen arms and heads from such awsome fishing. This is not a fish story.
My girl and i both caught 20-30 Yellow Fin Tuna each day plus about 30 big skippys a day
On day two we caught a 30, 35, & 50+ lbs jack crevalle plus one 15 lbs dodo.Click the image to open in full size.Click the image to open in full size.

Thought I smelled a fishy piss in the head. I full head is nice, but I gotta teach Neil how to drive smoother while I'm in it. I'm ready for oily flat seas and WFO fishing for a change.
