Cabo/East Cape Report...Marlin!

Just got back from 4 days in Baja. Left Cabo Thursday morning and fished our way to the East Cape. Saw more marlin than I have seen in years. Many pods of three and four marlin. Tons of jumpers, tailers, but only one feeder. Kind of amazing, but the story was similar from the other boats fishing the area. Also got some nice grade of tuna and smaller Dorado. Saw Sperm Whales, pilot whales and even shadowed a Whale Shark. Saw huge tuna running with a massive school of black Dolphin about 8 miles off the Iman Bank. Worked it hard with no bite. Incredible amount of life in the area. Water was between 77 and 80 with most of the fish found fairly close to shore from San Luis around to Frailes. Great fishing trip, this area is going to exlode as the water temps stabilize. Lots of wind (35 knots) in the face as we returned to Cabo Saturday evening.

Yeah...thanks for the report. I'm leaving for Cabo Wed (25th). Hope those tuna and dorado bite good!

Any word with the inshore thing? I'm really hoping the Roosters are biting. Those are one of my favorite fish to catch.
