Talking East Cape Trip - Palmas De Cortez

Hey I'm ready to book a trip to the East Cape most likely Palmas de Cortez because I've heard from friends that this is THE place down there.

My buddy John can't go now, family commitments and all and my other buddy can't make up his mind if he wants to go or not.

Anyways I'm looking for someone who might want to share a cruiser down there. If you have a couple guys that's cool, it's cheaper for everyone.

Air fare Tickets round trip from San Diego are $203 +taxes and airport fees.

http://www.palmasdecortez.com/

If you're interested in going send me a private message.

I'm flexible as to when we go, I just have to get down there and fish, bottom line. Figured someone else is likely headed down there or wants to go and I'd like to get someone to split the cost of the boat with.

If not, fuck it, I'll charter the bitch by myself.

Where are you getting that airfare?

That's a really good deal.

Both Alaska Airlines and United.

Go through Travelocity: http://dps1.travelocity.com/aircfrsh...132005&LANG=EN

Sounds like a good time, eh?

Im going to be there at rancho leonero staying at a friends house with some chicks from the 5th of june to the 9th of june. If you wanna share a cruiser with me and my buddy for a couple days then for sure were in on it. Ive fished there before and its awesome. Hell if I meet you before hand and your not some crazy dude you might be able to stay with us at my friends aunt sick house on the beach there. Were poor too but have a sick house and need to share fishing expenses, so hit me up. I live in Encinitas.

Ruben:

Just got back a week ago. It was catch and release as many marlin as you want 7 miles out in front of La Ribera. Very fun. Tuna to 40'# north 30 miles. Watch out for the wind. Very very bid swells. If you are with one of the locals you should have no problems. But I was in a private boat and almost got my lunch handed to me as the wind went form flat dead calm to 3-5 foot seas in 20 minutes. Have Fun!!!

Palmas de Cortez

Reuben,

I have fished out of all the Van wormer hotels. Playa del Sol, Palmas de cortez and the Punta Colorada. I am going to the Punta Colorada June- 15-19 and July 6-10. Yep, Call me crazy but I am going fishin Bitch!!!It's good fishing out of all 3 hotels I like the Punta because its way out on the point by the light house. Ie: you are about one hour closer on the run out in the morning and on the way back in from the fishing grounds. ( You normally get two hours of rod time a day instead of a boat ride.) Also, the beach fishing is not that great at the Palmas and the Playa. There is a big ass reef right in front of the punta, killer beach fishing from Punta Colorada to Punta arena (the light house) rocks and reef out in front of the light house as well (to the left hand side of it if your standing on the beach.) If you want more info shoot me an email. As I said I have done this rodeo a few times.
