This is a great fish!! Something that I'd like to add to these posts is what Hugo Pino and his son played in the finding, catching and landing of this fish. Friends and I have fished with Hugo and his brother Augustine for over 25 years when the Jigstop used to book pangas that launched and retrieved from the beach below Pepe's (Palmilla) My amigo Stan has caught huge fish while fishing with Hugo and I had a day by myself with Hugo where he put me on 3 marlin. His brother Augustin is also an excellent person and skipper who always gives his all... It has been great to see them "age", have families and kids. We were down there last June and fished with Augustine -He put me on a 100 lb+ Amber Jack. Hugo put Stan and another friend on a huge Rooster. Hugo and Augustine always give their best, work hard and enjoy a Gringo that appreciates Baja even when the fishing is slow. - Hugo has been asked to crew on other boats in tournaments and has brought home the $$. I guess I just want to acknowledge the locals - Lots of high tech stuff, but when it comes down to it, the local guys get it done! The best thing is when we visit Hugo and Augustine it's like seeing old friends. Congrats to all on the boat as I'm sure it was a fire drill!

I was running through the Gordo bank on Thursday while delivering a boat to La Paz and I was wondering why there was about thirty boats gathered around each other. Now I know why, WOW! I wish that sucker had hit my jigs instead of that guys.
