Bob......I don't know anybody out of SR with such a boat, and nobody else that I can think of who might like to participate in such an adventure. I will ask around, however, and let you know if somebody expresses interest.

The old ramp was put in by the Flying Sportsman, and I believe there is a school there now. We used the ramp for years, but I haven't been back to Mag for 4 years and I am not familiar with the ramp in Lopez. I would appreciate any info you might have on the ramp.

Gene......The new ramp in Lopez Mateos accommodates one launch/retrieval at a time, and is silted in at the bottom so it is only useable on a tide of +1.0', or so. By fortuitous circumstance, however, the river bank about 30' west of the ramp is hard packed and at a tide of +1.0', or less, has a fine slope for launching any trailerable boat. So, you can easily put it at any tide without searching for a spot along the river bank, as was necessary before the ramp was installed. I will try to remember to take some photos the next time across and post them.

The ramp I used was in San Carlos, and that's why the confusion. How far is Lopez from the San Carlos area? I am pulling a 29X10 that weigh's about 13,000, and so I don't want to try the beach.
