SUNDAY AUGUST 16TH
What a beautiful Sunday to spend time with the family out fishing in Cabo San Lucas. The temperature seemed to drop, if even just a degree to help these friends and families have a good time today. ffice:smarttags" />
Troy and his young daughter Taryn, Mike and his teenage son Hayden who brought along friend Jacob, and Larry fished on our 32’ RumRunnin with Captain Javier and Mate Manuel. Out on the Pacific Ocean where the water was at eighty one degrees this group used a combination of live bait and lured to catch 10 Dorado and 3 Marlin! They kept 9 of the Dorado, the largest weighing thirty five pounds. Despite the wind they hooked up to three Marlin, two of them weighing a hundred pounds and the third close to a hundred and thirty pounds. These anglers were serious, arriving even before I was there to open the office doors and staying out all day. Their enthusiasm and effort sure paid off, great job!

FRIDAY AUGUST 21ST, 2009
Joe, Robert, David, Barbara, Irene and Alan from New Jersey went out for the third time this week on our 32’ Rum Runnin with Captain Javier and Mate Manuel. Out by Golden Gate on the Pacific Joe caught and released a Marlin, and the rest of the group caught 3 Dorado and 3 Tuna. After having such a great week with RedRum they decided to steal John Donovan away from the office and coerce him into sharing a few beers with them next door; poor Jefe.
Jake and friends went out on our 54’ Missing Lenk and caught a twenty pound Tuna, a twelve pound Dorado and a hundred and twenty pound Marlin which they released. The fight took place just two miles offshore inside Golden Gate.
Greg, his wife Mary and their fifteen year old son Nathan from California went out on our 28’ ReelRum with Captain Omar and Mate Americo. Out by Golden Gate Nathan caught a sixty pound bull Dorado in a fight that lasted forty minutes. He’s a nice kid so he left his dad a fifteen pound Dorado to fight afterwards.

SATURDAY AUGUST 22ND, 2009
Josh, Ben, Evan, Eric, Matt and Jacob went out on our RedBeam with Captain Marcial. They headed to Golden Gate where they caught 9 Dorado weighing fifteen to twenty five pounds and a twenty pound Tuna. We vacuum sealed and froze most of their fish for them to take back with them to Louisiana tomorrow and they took the rest of the fillets to Misiones de Kino for dinner. A nice end to their fishing vacation purchased through CCA. They enjoyed their trip so much they plan on coming back for one of our Play and Stay packages next year.
John Donovan met Danae and her boyfriend Jesse at Misiones de Kino the other night, told them all about the RedRum fishing experience that they simply could not miss out on and today they went out on our 28’ ReelRum with Captain Americo and Mate Juan. At only three miles from shore in the Golden Gate area they caught and released 2 Marlin, one weighed a hundred and twenty five pounds and the second weighing a hundred and seventy five pounds. They also caught 2 Dorado weighing in between fifteen and twenty five pounds. It was their first time fishing in Cabo and they vowed it would not be their last.
John also ran into some of Donnie’s (aka Ryan Donovn) old college buddies and found himself some friends to fish with. Kristen, Kimberly, Claire and Melanie went out on our 32’ RumRunnin with the Jefe himself along with Captain Omar and Mate Cesar. The girls each took turns reeling in the hundred and fifty pound Striped Marlin which they later released and swam with. That’s right folks, after reeling that biggie in they jumped into the ocean and went for a ride together. The ladies also caught and released a small Dorado and fought another that got away.
