Living down here full time; we went out yesterday and again today. Both good days, today was even nicer, great conditions. Folks have been having good luck trolling for grouper.

Yesterday and again today, we noticed lots of bait in the water. The mackerel are moving back in, so that's good.

Might have been a few boats headed up to Rememdios this morning, we stayed local and just went bottom fishing as we have a fish taco feed coming up.

But conditions right now are pretty good, come the end of the month, should continue to improve then get even better as we move into the summer.

You have Guillermo's Yellowtail Shootout that weekend. I would think people are going to be pretty closed-mouth until after that.

Mia,

Good to see you on this board. Talk about first hand Bahia info. Couldn't ask for it any fresher than what you can dish up!

Saludos,
P.

Mia...your website is undoubtedly the best LA Bay website....I look at it all the time and wish I was there instead of at work. I'll be down from the end of June through July 7th or 8th or whenever...Say hi to Pepe, Igor, Rafa, etc. for me..I've been down since 1993, and go back at least once a year...Thanks so much for your time and effort in terms of putting your website and keeping it up...we'll be at Casa Diaz cabana number three or four, come by and and have a Pacifico and introduce yourself. Oh yeah...anyone who will be down there during that time is welcome to come by for a free coldie as well....Salud!!!!

Cuidate mucho,

HT

...Gracias Horn Toad, I am glad you enjoy the website and hope it brings Bahia a little closer to you. We saw Rafa yesterday when we went out, they were doing some bottom fishing too. He is not only a great guide, but a good person too. Once in a while, when some friends from San Diego come down to fish with him, I get to tag along and it's always a great time. The first Yellowtail I ever caught was with him, it was taking me forever to bring it onboard. The guys were giving me a hard time, but come to find out I had snagged it by the tail...so I could never turn it and it was constantly swimming hard away from me. 18 lb.'er but felt much bigger! No fighting belt either, it was kind of brutal.

Wow, that looks great! My bro & I are probably coming down maybe next week to check out the place that he just got at Doc's - not bringing the boat so maybe we'll grab a panga for a half day....
