Puertecitos Report

Quick Report: 3/27-3/31

Had a nice trip camped south of Puertecitos at La Costilla... I love that place. Good weather and excellent fishing on good size corvina, spotted bass, pargo, etc. Most fish caught a few miles south of camp. Can't wait to get back!

seems like the right place to ask this. What are the distinguising characteristics of a totauva compared to those corvina? I don't know and I wouldn't want to mistake them. Not trying to jack your thread. Nice fish and how perfect was that weather

I've caught them tossing Rapalas from beach. I'm thinking a decent sized blue/silver Kastmaster would be killer also.

Caught all Corvina on swim baits: Storms, fish trap, etc. Also on Pink scampy tails. These are all Orange Mouth Corvina. I have caght totuava there as well (all released). They're darker, light brown not silver, and fatter. I have a few honey holes in the area....
