Rules of the contest...
Post pictures of a fish you caught this month After (2/1/08) using an Avet reel. Ending 2/29/08.

The reel has to be in the picture!!!!!!
We have final say.

Just got a new HX 5/2 on a Seeker G6470 with 60# spectra and 40# topshot on 1-25 from the guys at Squidco. Got on the water on 02-02. I hope this is a sign of things to come with my new Avet. 25lbs of great tasting Yellowtail caught about a mile north of the Rock Pile parrallel with the South Island. Using a Dropper Loop with 4/0 Owner circle hook and live sardines. Water was about 100' deep and fished about 90'. This was my first Yellowtail, since I just started fishing in Oct.

Nice Fish, Hey generaly you tip the Captain when you have a good day on the water, Hope you took care of him! A nice Avet Reel would be nice!

No doubt you deserve a tip. I thought the lunch that Syliva made would take care of that. If not let me buy you lunch next Friday at Hudson Bay. Hopefully we will be all square after that

Just messing with you on the tip, however the lunch was the best, sylvia mada a big mistake, now the Re-Pete ("the boy") and I are going to expect the same every trip. Oh next time bring some jalapenos!

reds and lings.all lings over 8 pounds.my last ling is 15+ pounds. caught on the apollo in colonett. used an avet sx wth 50lb spectra.
p.s. it is a good reel i have caught 40lb albacore and 30 lb tails on it.
