Re: SX storage question.

I would tear it down and grease all the threaded holes, coat the inside surfaces of metal with grease etc. Especially under the reel seat area and inside the side plates. They tend to get corrosion in those areas when washed down. I store them however they drag happens to be set, seems to not create any problems.

Re: SX storage question.

I back the drag preset knob completely off, so there will be no drag pressure even with the lever at full.. And keep the clicker on...

Actually the whole story is I put a loop in the end of the line, and put the loop over one of the screws for the reel clamp. I then put the clicker on and spin the spool back by hand to get a little tension on the line. This keeps the line snug on the spool during storage and transport. It also helps a little while rigging up before setting the drag.

Re: SX storage question.

I read somewhere that Avet recommends storing it with the drag on?
But I've stored one(original model) of mine for five years or so with the drag off and another for about two the same way with no problems so far. i leave the clicker on just so the line won't get mess up..no problem.
