Trevor Clark

Coronado Islands Middle Grounds

Caught the fish on a Avet JX 2 speed

On Wednesday June 6th

Trevor is my 5 year old son, this is his personal best fish to date, it was a 25lb 12 oz. It took him 15 minutes on 25lb. florocarbon and 50lb. spectra. He could not have done it without the 2 speed reel. Thanks for building such a great reel.

Click the image to open in full size.Well I'd like to report that. I finallay used an AVET. My friend john and gary, both rave about AVET.I like my gear,I hooked my first T-shark,not only was the thing a beast,It took seven quaility runs.240 yds. 40# powerpro-125 yds 30# p-line,clear;on a new yo-zuri,blk\prl

I know for sure my gear would have been toast.Well you have a thumbs up over here. The best thing is that there AMERICAN MADE.

I know Davey's locker would like to sell your products.
fowl-ball. I can't figure out how to post photo. what a DONKEY.

Re: June 07 Avet Contest

is that the reel wayyyyyyy back there??? take the time to get a good pic. a cleaned up fish and a good presentation of the reel on the water/yak would make the wsb a contestant, but it isn't.

And why is the gaff still in it's back? good fish though man, thats sick

Re: June 07 Avet Contest

T-shark, well this was my first shark I've caught.AVET MX with 240 yds. 40# powerpro-about 100-125 yrs 30 # p-line clear. On a 6'6" diawa v.i.p.. running a new yo-zuri blk/prl.
The fight lasted only 55-60 mins. The fight belt was a super-lite smitty pad.that reel was SCREAMMING. but held up. my gear would have seized.
I had no doubt about the reel. I was worried about the rod or line.
Can you belive that little reel caught that. I,m stoked.
And thank you for building a quailty product, worth the $$$$$.
